Stanford Medicine remains in network with Anthem Blue Cross
We’re pleased to share that Stanford Medicine and Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem) have reached a new multi-year agreement, ensuring continued access to care for Anthem members across Northern California.
This multi-year agreement provides stability for thousands of Anthem members who are patients at Stanford Health Care, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, Stanford Medicine Partners and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. This includes Anthem members enrolled in HMO, EPO, and PPO health plans who can continue receiving in-network care from Stanford’s trusted team of doctors, nurses, and clinicians – all part of a connected network dedicated to delivering high-quality, comprehensive care.
The new agreement, which is effective Sept. 1, 2025, applies to all Anthem members and provides continued in-network access to Stanford Medicine’s network of hospitals, physicians, clinics, home health services, and affiliated health services across California.
About the Resolution
Yes. We have reached a new multi-year agreement, ensuring continued access to in-network care for Anthem patients at Stanford Health Care, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, Stanford Medicine Partners and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health through August 2028. Patients with Anthem health insurance can continue to see your trusted Stanford Medicine doctors at all our locations as you normally would.
All Anthem health insurance plans are back in network with Stanford Health Care, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, Stanford Medicine Partners and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, including:
- All commercial plans (HMO and PPO, including those provided by employers)
- Medicare Advantage plans
- Medi-Cal plans
All Anthem patients can continue to see their Stanford Medicine providers without any change or interruption to their current benefits coverage through August 2028.
Yes.
